Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy (“Policy”) governs the terms and conditions related to the shipping and delivery of products purchased from Johar Optical. By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined herein. Johar Optical reserves the right to modify this Policy at its sole discretion and will make reasonable efforts to notify customers of significant changes. Customers are encouraged to review this Policy prior to placing any order, as Johar Optical shall not be held liable for any discrepancies resulting from unawareness of updated policies.

Domestic Shipping

Johar Optical strives to deliver orders promptly and efficiently. While we endeavor to fulfill all orders placed between 12:00 AM and 6:00 PM on the same day, delivery is contingent upon logistical capacity and other operational considerations. In general, domestic orders are delivered within 1-2 working days, excluding the following cases:

  • Custom-made products requiring special modifications

  • Orders containing prescription lenses

  • Items sourced directly from suppliers for which Johar Optical does not maintain inventory

Duties, Taxes, and Customs

Johar Optical does not collect duties, taxes, or fees associated with international shipments. Any such charges are the responsibility of the customer and will be assessed by the destination country’s customs authorities. Johar Optical is unable to estimate these fees, as customs policies vary widely. For clarity on applicable charges, please contact your local customs office.

Shipping Fees

  • For orders placed by guest users, a flat shipping fee of 1 Kuwaiti Dinar (KD) will be applied if the cart total is below 75 KD.

  • Orders with a cart total of 75 KD or more qualify for free shipping.

  • Orders placed by registered customers qualify for free shipping regardless of order value.

  • Shipping fees are calculated at checkout and apply regardless of destination country.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Johar Optical endeavors to provide accurate delivery timelines; however, actual delivery times are subject to change due to factors beyond our control. Johar Optical shall not be held liable for delays, missed delivery deadlines, or additional costs arising from:

  • Customer's failure to provide accurate delivery information

  • External conditions, including but not limited to adverse weather, customs delays, or third-party courier issues


Return and Exchange Policy

This Return and Exchange Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which products purchased from our platform may be eligible for return, exchange, or refund. By purchasing from us, you agree to comply with these terms.

Eligibility for Return and Exchange

Products must meet the following conditions to qualify for return or exchange:

  1. Products must be in their original condition, saleable, and merchantable at the time of delivery.

  2. Proof of purchase, such as the order number, a hard copy of the receipt, or the receipt received via email, must be provided.

  3. Items purchased using flexible payment methods, such as but not limited to Tabby and Tamara, are not eligible for exchanges.

  4. Exchanges are only permitted for orders placed in Kuwait.

  5. Exchange or return requests for domestic orders will only be accepted if the request is made within the specified time window of 2 working days from the date of delivery.

  6. It is the customer's responsibility to thoroughly inspect the product upon delivery and ensure its condition before it is unpacked, used, or installed.

Domestic Orders (Orders in Kuwait)

Returns

Domestic returns are accepted either at our stores or via our Customer Service team. For online returns, an authorized driver will retrieve the item from the shipping address provided at the time of purchase.

Refunds

Refunds for domestic returns will be subject to inspection by the online team. Customers will be notified of the approval or rejection via email or phone. Rejected products will be returned to the customer. Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method unless the customer opts for gift coupons or wallet credits. Credit card refunds may take 4-6 weeks to process depending on the banks or subject to the payment gateway provider's policies. Original shipping fees paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable.

Exchanges

Exchanges are allowed only once, whether in-store or online. For in-store exchanges, the product will be inspected on-site and approved or rejected at the discretion of the store manager. If the exchanged product is of higher value, the customer must pay the price difference. If it is of lower value, the refund for the difference will be processed via the original payment method.

GCC and International Orders

All items may be eligible for return within fourteen (14) working days of receipt, provided they meet the general return eligibility criteria. Customers may be responsible for applicable return shipping costs. International exchanges follow the same return process; in the event the exchanged item is of higher value, the customer must pay the difference.

Exceptions and Limitations

  • Products will not be accepted if they are not in their original condition or are unsaleable due to packaging/wrapping issues.

  • Defects or non-compliance with laws apparent at delivery but undisclosed will be considered case-by-case at the company's discretion.

  • Products with pre-acknowledged defects accepted at the time of purchase are not eligible for return or exchange.

Customer Acknowledgment

By completing a purchase, customers acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Return and Exchange Policy. The company reserves the right to amend this policy at its sole discretion.

Policy Updates

Johar Optical reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time without prior notice. Significant changes, where applicable, will be communicated to customers via reasonable means. Customers are solely responsible for reviewing the updated Policy before placing an order. Johar Optical disclaims all responsibility for any issues arising from the customer's failure to comply with the terms of the revised Policy.
